Where are you located? Our address is 301 S Prospect Ste 1B Bloomington, Il 61704. South of Jims Steak House, 2 doors north of the IRS.
What are your hours? We are open 10-6 M-F and 10-2 on Saturday. Holiday hours are 10-2 on any eve and closed the day of.
Do I need to schedule an appointment to come in to your store? No appointments needed for in store service! Just come in anytime!
What do I need to bring? For desktop computers, just the computer tower and any software that originally came with it. For laptops, just the laptop itself, the AC Adapter (power plug) and any software that originally came with it.
Will you come to my home or office to fix my computer? ABSOLUTELY! Just call to schedule a time!
Do you work on laptops and netbooks as well as desktops? Yep, yep and yep.
Do you work on Macs? Not if we can help it. We are not a Licensed Mac repair facility and will have issues getting replacement parts.
Do you do warranty work? We only warranty the computers we build. We do not do any warranty work for any manufacturers or superstores. If a system is under warranty we will work on them, if you don't mind us voiding your warranty.
How is a virus diffrent from spyware? Both are considered malware, the best answer I have seen can be read here.
Do you stock many parts? No, we order most of our parts for next day.
I want only certified replacement parts for my laptop can you get those? Yes, and that is all we suggest. We do have to order them so shipping may vary.
My Hard Drive has failed, can you backup my data? Maybe. It depends on on the type of failure. If we can not we can send it off to a third party for recovery.
My Windows 95/98/ME/2000 computer doesn't work. Can you help me? Windows 95/98/ME/2000 is now over 10 years old. They are no longer supported by Mircosoft and updates are no longer available. Drivers are impossible to get and if you don't have the restore disks there will be a surcharge. We can load the OS but we don't really want to. Put the money towards a new computer.
Can you upgrade my version of Windows to a newer version? Possibly. It will depend on the specs of your computer. Bring it in and we can give you all available options.
My business uses XP on our network and it will be to expensive my entire business to upgrade what can I do? Microsoft XP is now extended to 2020 which will make it the longest running operating system by Microsoft. More details are here.
